Congress In Your Kitchen
It’s an idea called Congress in your Kitchen and it lets local residents know what’s cooking in Washington. Northeast Wisconsin’s U.S. Representative Steve Kagen stopped by the home of Marinette resident Pat O’Hara on Friday. During the get-together, O’Hara expressed his concerns about how the local workforce would benefit from a new Navy contract for Marinette Marine. O’Hara says it could be huge for the local economy. Kagen says job creation is key and it ties into health care coverage. Coincidentally, right after his stop at the O’Hara’s, Kagen headed to Marinette Marine to meet with workers during the shift change.
