A Marinette Ad-Hoc Committee is still in the midst of considering a proposal to switch to a city administrator form of government. According to Alderman John Marx, Marinette is actually the smallest city in Wisconsin to still operate with a full-time mayor instead of an administrative style of leadership. Alderman Marx proposed the restructuring of the city’s government. He says it’s time to reassess the city’s direction. Marx says he’s open to having a full-time or part-time mayor if Marinette were to decide on changing to an administrator run government.
The Ad-Hoc Committee is looking for public comment on the proposed city administrator style of government in Marinette. Marinette residents can E-mail their questions, comments and concerns to marward5@yahoo.com by March 24th.
