Funds For Spalding Fire Dept.
Almost $500,000 will be distributed to several emergency responder organizations throughout Michigan, including about $50,000 for the Spalding Township Fire Department in northern Menominee County. The funds come from the Department of Homeland Security Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program. According to U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow, the grants are designed to enhance the skills and readiness of Michigan’s frontline first responders.
