Prison Ordered For Illinois Man
Prison is ordered for an Illinois man convicted for dealing drugs in the local area. 35-year old Mark Darland pleaded no contest to one charge of Delivery of Heroin stemming from an arrest in early January of 2009. He also pleaded no contest to one count of Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine brought about by a traffic stop on U.S. 41. Darland was allegedly returning to Marinette with drugs from the Chicago area. Last week in Marinette County Court, Darland was sentenced to six years in prison for both convictions, giving him a total prison sentence of 12 years.
