MAPS Considers Cuts
It’s likely to be another rough budget year for Menominee Area Public Schools.  Preliminary estimates already have Menominee Schools facing an estimated $1.9 million deficit for the 2010-2011 school year.  Superintendent Erik Bergh says numerous ideas are needed to overcome a shortfall that large and one of those ideas is personnel cuts. Bergh says more planning and discussions are needed as the district works to approve a budget by the end of June.
