Assault Suspect Charged
The man implicated in last week’s assault of a woman in the Town of Grover has bee formally charged. The Marinette County Sheriff’s Department was called to a residence on Highway 64 Wednesday morning to investigate a disturbance. 48-year old Edward L. Poisson was arrested in the incident after a woman told police he had assaulted her and had a gun. The charges against Poisson include Felony Possession of a Firearm and two counts of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault. He has a $250,000 cash bond and is scheduled to be back in court on Friday.
