Trial Set In Severe Beating
A jury trial is scheduled for four Marinette men charged in a severe assault. 25-year old Phillip L. Barber, 18-year old Steven E. Matz, 19-year old Nathan S. Peterson and 18-year old Aaron A. Sovey are alleged to have assaulted another man with a golf club at home on Garfield in Marinette. The February 12th beating was allegedly caused by a dispute about drugs and money. The trial for the four men is scheduled for May 25th, with a pretrial conference on May 12th.
