Road Patrol Millage
Without a millage increase, Menominee County’s Road Patrol may not be able to continue.  Sheriff Kenny Marks is pushing for a bump in the road patrol millage, which hasn’t been changed since it was started in 1994.  Marks says the current funding for Menominee County’s 24 hour emergency response service just won’t cut it anymore.  Sheriff Marks is hoping the current 1.15 mill rate for the road patrol could be raised to 1.795 mills.  Marks wants to put that proposal to the Menominee County voters on the August ballot.
