New Alderperson Appointed
Menominee welcomes its newest city council member. Five of the candidates interested in replacing 4th Ward Alderman Todd Schloegel gave presentations and fielded questions from the Menominee City Council last night. In the end, the council selected Frank Pohlmann to be the new Alderperson for the 4th Ward. Pohlmann, a former President and CEO and CFO of Karl Schmidt Unisia, says there are three main issues on the minds of 4th Ward residents-fiscal responsibility, efficient delivery of services and economic development. Pohlmann says he looks forward to hearing input from the 4th Ward residents he now represents. His appointment will only be for a few months, but Pohlmann does say he plans to seek the city council seat in the February election.
